Israel Kills at Least 143 in a Single Day as Gaza Death Toll Surpasses 53,000
In one of the deadliest days since the beginning of the conflict, at least 143 Palestinians were killed on Thursday in a fresh wave of Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, pushing the overall death toll beyond 53,000. Among the most tragic incidents was a strike on al-Tawbah medical clinic in the Jabalia refugee camp, where 13 people, including children, lost their lives. Eyewitnesses reported that patients were “torn apart” on the clinic’s upper floor during the assault.
International observers and humanitarian groups have condemned the attack on a medical facility, citing violations of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions.
The escalation comes amid mounting international pressure for a ceasefire and concerns about a growing humanitarian catastrophe in the besieged enclave.
