South African captain Laura Wolvaardt has regained her position as the top-ranked batter in women's ODIs after an impressive start to the home series against England.

Wolvaardt, who previously held the No. 1 spot during the 2022 World Cup, scored an unbeaten 59 and 35 in the first two matches. These performances propelled her to the top, overtaking England's Nat Sciver-Brunt, who dropped to third after scoring 0 and 20 in the series. Sri Lanka's Chamari Athapaththu now holds the second position.
