Russian Air Defence Repels Drone Near Moscow
A drone flying toward Moscow was successfully intercepted by Russian air defence forces, according to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
"Air defence units of the Defence Ministry repelled an attack by a drone flying towards Moscow," Sobyanin posted on Telegram. He added that emergency teams are currently working at the site where the drone debris landed.
Following the incident, Russian news agencies cited a Rosaviatsiya spokesperson stating that Vnukovo Airport has resumed departing flights, though subject to further official clearance.
