Trump Announces US-Pakistan Oil Development Deal
US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that a new agreement has been reached between Washington and Islamabad to jointly develop Pakistan’s oil reserves.
“We have just concluded a deal with Pakistan, under which both countries will cooperate in the development of Pakistan’s vast oil resources,” Trump stated via Truth Social.
The Pakistani government confirmed the development, stating the agreement would also lead to reduced tariffs on Pakistani exports to the US. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed the deal via social media platform X, writing: “Pakistan concludes deal with USA.”
