Ceasefire Reached Between Pakistan and India, Mediated by the U.S
President Donald Trump announced that a ceasefire agreement was achieved after intensive overnight talks mediated by the United States. Both Indian and Pakistani officials confirmed the truce.
India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri stated that at around 3:30 p.m., the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of Pakistan contacted his Indian counterpart. Both sides agreed to halt all firing and military operations by land, air, and sea starting from 5:00 p.m. local time.
Pakistan's Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, confirmed the development via a post on X, emphasizing that Pakistan supports regional peace and security without compromising on its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
