COAS Gen. Asim Munir Awarded ‘Baton of Field Marshal’ for Exemplary Service
Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir was awarded the prestigious Baton of Field Marshal in recognition of his exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to Pakistan’s defense.
The formal ceremony took place at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, where President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif jointly conferred the honor upon the army chief.
The event was attended by Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, former PM Nawaz Sharif, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, federal cabinet members, service chiefs, provincial governors, parliamentarians, foreign diplomats, and top civil and military officials.
The award highlights Gen. Munir’s strategic vision and tireless efforts in safeguarding the nation.
