Croatian Ambassador Advocates for Strengthening Trade Ties with Pakistan
The Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia, Dr. Drago Stambuk, has underscored the importance of fostering a more robust trade relationship between Croatia and Pakistan. During a meeting at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Dr. Stambuk acknowledged that the current trade exchange between the two nations is not as substantial as desired and expressed his commitment to working towards its enhancement. Dr. Stambuk emphasized the need to bridge the business communities of Croatia and Pakistan, aiming to create a conducive environment for bolstering bilateral trade. Plans include organizing political and economic consultations to facilitate stronger economic ties. The recent appointment of Mirza Imran Baig as the Honorary Consul General of Croatia in Karachi is viewed as a positive step in extending the outreach of the Croatian Embassy. One significant challenge identified in fostering closer economic relations is the issue of visa delays, which Dr. Stambuk acknowledged as impacting trade activities. The embassy is actively working to address this concern, recognizing that streamlined visa processes are crucial for facilitating smoother business interactions between the two nations.
