ECP Ensures Security Measures: Army Personnel to Accompany Ballot Paper Delivery
Amid concerns about the security of ballot papers for the upcoming general elections, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced on Saturday that Pakistan Army personnel would be accompanying ECP staff during the transportation of ballot papers to their designated locations. This decision has been made in light of the security situation in sensitive areas. Responding to media reports, the spokesperson for the top electoral authority clarified that, following the printing of ballot papers, the responsibility of their safe transport to the offices of District Returning Officers (DROs) lies with the concerned DROs or their designated officials. The move aims to ensure the integrity and security of the electoral process in sensitive locations.
