Federal Government Vows Full Support to AJK to Ensure Peaceful Elections
Pakistan's State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry has said the federal government will provide full support to the Azad Jammu and Kashmir administration to prevent any attempts to disrupt the electoral process and maintain peace in the region.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad alongside Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Talal Chaudhry said the government is committed to ensuring that elections are conducted in a peaceful and transparent environment.
His remarks came following violent clashes in Rawalakot involving supporters of the banned Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC). The minister said the government would take all necessary measures to uphold law and order and safeguard the democratic process.
