Mass Displacement in Gaza as Israeli Forces Enter Rafah
In one of the largest displacements since the beginning of the war, hundreds of thousands of Gazans were forced to flee on Thursday as Israeli forces moved into the devastated city of Rafah.
The incursion follows Israel’s announcement of establishing a new “security zone” in the southern region of Gaza. Rafah, previously a final refuge for many displaced families, is now at the center of renewed military operations as Israeli troops advance deeper into the enclave’s southern edge.
