H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), participated in the Third Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition 2024 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The conference, held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, took place on January 8, 2024, and was inaugurated by Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Deputy Governor of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Province. The prestigious event saw the attendance of numerous high-ranking dignitaries, including fifty ministers, muftis, and senior officials responsible for Hajj affairs from various countries. Additionally, ambassadors and consuls representing different nations to Saudi Arabia were present. The primary objectives of the conference were to advance the development of Hajj and Umrah services, foster collaboration among participating countries, and enhance the overall quality of services provided to pilgrims. During the conference, Secretary-General Taha engaged in discussions with the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, as well as delegations from OIC Member States, ambassadors, and consuls, further reinforcing cooperation and solidarity among member countries. The event showcased the commitment of Saudi Arabia and the OIC to ensuring the well-being and convenience of pilgrims during their sacred journey.
