Pakistan Air Force Successfully Tests Indigenous Taimoor Cruise Missile
The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has successfully carried out the flight test of the indigenously developed Taimoor Weapon System, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday.
The military’s media wing said the Taimoor air-launched cruise missile is capable of accurately striking both land and sea-based targets at a range of up to 600 kilometres. ISPR described the achievement as a major step forward in strengthening Pakistan’s aerospace and defence capabilities.
Officials added that the weapon system is fitted with an advanced navigation and guidance mechanism and is designed to operate at extremely low altitudes, allowing it to evade enemy radar and missile defence systems effectively.
