In a significant diplomatic development, Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Additional Foreign Secretary (Middle East) of Pakistan, currently visiting Egypt, held a crucial meeting with Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for Asia, Ahmed Shaheen. The meeting, attended by Pakistan's Ambassador to Egypt, Ambassador Sajid Bilal, aimed at reviewing and enhancing the broad spectrum of bilateral relations between the two nations. Discussions encompassed political, trade, and investment ties, with a focus on reinforcing these connections. Both sides commended the successful hosting of the Fourth Pakistan-Africa Trade Development Conference and Single Country Exhibition in Cairo from January 9 to 11, 2024. This event coincided with the 75th anniversary celebrations of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Egypt. The diplomats expressed mutual appreciation for the milestone and pledged to continue engaging and collaborating to advance cooperation and dialogue between the two countries for mutual benefit.
