PM Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar Expresses Hope for Saarc Revival on 39th Charter Day
On the occasion of the 39th SAARC Charter Day, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar conveyed his optimism for the resolution of issues hindering the revival of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC). In a greetings message, PM Kakar reiterated Pakistan's commitment to the SAARC process and expressed confidence that obstacles to the organization's smooth functioning would be addressed. The challenges faced by SAARC, particularly in hosting summits, have been notable, primarily driven by escalating tensions between major members India and Pakistan. SAARC, established on December 8, 1985, aims to foster regional cooperation and address common challenges among its eight member states. The organization has been navigating geopolitical complexities and working towards a path of mutually beneficial regional collaboration. As the Caretaker Prime Minister remains hopeful for the resolution of hindrances, the future of SAARC holds the promise of renewed cooperation and strengthened regional ties. The diplomatic efforts and commitment of member states will play a crucial role in steering SAARC toward a more cooperative and integrated South Asia.
