Ready to safeguard every inch of our homeland: PM Shehbaz Sharif
Addressing the passing-out parade at Pakistan Military Academy Kakul, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warned that Pakistan would respond with full force if its water rights under the Indus Waters Treaty were violated.
The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan's firm rejection of terrorism, noting that 90,000 Pakistanis had lost their lives and the economy had suffered billions in losses.
He affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to global peace as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. Speaking about Afghanistan, he emphasized that Pakistan seeks peaceful relations but will not tolerate cross-border terrorism.
Highlighting the Kashmir dispute, he recalled Quaid-e-Azam’s declaration that Kashmir is Pakistan’s lifeline and criticized the international community’s failure to resolve the longstanding issue.
Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned Israeli atrocities in Gaza and urged the international community to intervene.
Congratulating the cadets, the Prime Minister praised the discipline of Pakistan’s armed forces and expressed confidence in Pakistan’s economic recovery, highlighting growing foreign investment in mining, minerals, and defense industries.
