Veteran actor and director Khalid Saleem Butt, aged 76, breathed his last in Lahore on Thursday night. The cause of death, as reported by APP, was complications arising from liver and kidney-related diseases. Butt commenced his illustrious career in the 70s, leaving an indelible mark in both Urdu and Punjabi films, as well as television series. His recent work included the on-air production "Khaie," where he portrayed Faysal Quraishi's father. Beyond acting, Butt directed a film during his career and was honored with the Pride of Performance award for his significant contributions to the arts. His notable works include PTV productions like "Jangal Pura" (1997), "Boota to Toba Tek Singh" (1999), and "Landa Bazaar" (2002).
