مفاد اس سے مگر تیرے اختیار میں ہیں
بقیہ اچھے ہوں جیسے گزرنے والے تھے
رفاقتوں کے جو لمحات انتظار میں ہیں
جنون میں تھا ابھی جانا، عندلیب کا رمز
بہار ان میں نہیں ہے کہ جو بہار میں ہیں
ہزار شہر میں تھے گرد خیز، گم کردہ
فقیرِ گم شدہ کی پستیٔ مزار میں ہیں
رواں ہیں دیدۂ جاناں کو اشک بہرِ مقام
خلیج آبِ ستادہ کے انحصار میں ہیں
اصول پیش رہا گرچہ کرب شدت تھا
سرشک چشم گریزاں مگر قطار میں ہیں
نم ان کی آنکھ میں ارحم تھا میرے گریہ میں
دھنک کے رنگ سبھی شامل آبشار میں ہیں
کبھی نہیں تھا سروکار روزگار سے ژرفؔ
یہ روزگار کے جھگڑے بھی روزگار میں ہیں
