امریکہ کا ایران کے رہبرِ اعلیٰ کو براہِ راست مذاکرات کا پیغام
صدر ڈونلڈ ٹرمپ نے ایران کے رہبرِ اعلیٰ آیت اللہ علی خامنہ ای کو براہِ راست مذاکرات کی پیشکش متحدہ عرب امارات کے تجربہ کار سفارتکار انور قرقاش کے ذریعے بھیجی۔
انور قرقاش نے 12 مارچ کو تہران کا دورہ کیا اور ایرانی نائب وزیر خارجہ عباس عراقچی سے ملاقات میں صدر ٹرمپ کا پیغام پہنچایا۔ ابتدا میں ایرانی میڈیا نے اس پیغام کی وصولی کی تصدیق نہیں کی، تاہم اندرونی ذرائع کے مطابق یہ پیغام ایرانی قیادت کے درمیان بحث کا باعث بنا اور بات چیت کے نئے دروازے کھلنے لگے۔
ایران نے مذاکرات کے لیے عمان کو ترجیح دی ہے، اور ابتدائی بات چیت ہفتہ، 12 اپریل کو مسقط میں امریکی ایلچی اسٹیو وٹکوف اور عباس عراقچی کے درمیان متوقع ہے۔
یہ پیش رفت مشرق وسطیٰ میں جاری کشیدگی کے دوران سفارتکاری کی طرف ایک اہم قدم تصور کی جا رہی ہے۔
