Renowned Pakistani singer Asim Azhar has officially announced the end of his engagement with actor and model Merub Ali, nearly three years after the couple confirmed their relationship in March 2022.

The announcement was made through Azhar’s Instagram story late last night. In his message, Azhar stated that the decision to part ways was taken “peacefully and mutually” after much thought and reflection. He added that although they shared memorable moments and had sincere intentions for the future, "life sometimes takes its own course."

He expressed deep respect for Merub and their families, requesting privacy from the public during this transition. "We kindly ask for your understanding and privacy during this time, and hope this is met with the same grace with which it is being shared," he wrote.

The couple had been admired by fans across Pakistan, making the news of their separation both unexpected and emotional for many.
