فیلڈ مارشل عاصم منیر پاکستان کے پہلے چیف آف ڈیفنس فورسز مقرر
وفاقی حکومت نے ایک تاریخی فیصلے کے تحت فیلڈ مارشل عاصم منیر کو پاکستان کا پہلا چیف آف ڈیفنس فورسز (CDF) مقرر کردیا ہے۔ صدر آصف علی زرداری نے جمعرات کے روز وزیراعظم شہباز شریف کی بھیجی گئی سمری کی منظوری دیتے ہوئے اس تعیناتی کی توثیق کی۔
سرکاری نوٹیفکیشن کے اجرا کے بعد کئی دنوں سے جاری افواہوں اور قیاس آرائیوں کا سلسلہ ختم ہوگیا ہے۔ اس تقرری کے ساتھ ہی فیلڈ مارشل عاصم منیر ملک کے دفاعی ڈھانچے میں ایک نئے اور اہم ترین منصب پر فائز ہونے والے پہلے افسر بن گئے ہیں۔
