No more Album, Britney Spears Clarifies
Britney Spears has refuted recent reports suggesting that pop stars Charli XCX and Julia Michaels were approached to write songs for her upcoming album. Page Six and the Sun had previously claimed that these artists were enlisted for the project. Rolling Stone quoted an insider who mentioned ongoing efforts by management and A&R to spark Britney's enthusiasm for recording, despite her current non-involvement in the process. Britney Spears took to Instagram to dispel these rumors, emphatically stating, "Just so we're clear most of the news is trash!!! They keep saying I'm turning to random people to do a new album … I will never return to the music industry!!!" Instead, Spears revealed her recent focus on songwriting, sharing that she has penned over 20 songs for other artists in the past two years. This clarification from the pop icon sheds light on her current creative endeavors while dispelling speculations about her imminent return to the recording studio.
